Loof Skateboarding: Mild Chicago Winter
Loof Minute from Loof Life on Vimeo.
Featuring Augie Johansen, Paul Ruta, Mike Baptista, Kevin Kuczkowski, Andrew Smith and Ryan Walter A new Loof Life clip from Adam Akins is up. This weather has been amazing, hitting the streets in December is not expected in Chicago. This video shows some local Chicago skateboarders enjoying this mild winter weather with some nighttime skateboarding in downtown Chicago. The clip has some great examples of how putting skateboard restrictors and metal guards on popular skateboard spots can actually add some great challenges to sessioning the spots.Minnesota Vikings Eric Kendricks was a Skateboarder: Star Tribune Article

Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks lost his helmet this once, but he knows how to stay on his feet and make tackles.
Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks lost his helmet this once, but he knows how to stay on his feet and make tackles.
Eric Kendricks remembers tearing through the wrapping paper a decade and a half ago and getting exactly what he wanted for Christmas that year.
“My first skateboard was a cheap, $25 skateboard. That was my Christmas gift,” he said. “Me and my brother [Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks] both got one. We started tearing it up. That was when Tony Hawk and all that skateboarding stuff was real big. And I wanted to be a skateboarder.”

Another spot I would like to skate is Mounds View Skateboard park. It looks like a fun, mellow, concrete park. Check out the picture below:

Chet Childress: Camp Life for OJ Wheels
'
This video highlights the van life of Chet Childress. He skates some fun looking concrete parks and displays the lip tricks and great skating he is well known for. I appreciate the lifestyle Childress has been able to maintain. He travels the word skateboarding and building DIY spots. I saw a recent article in Transworld in which Chet helped build a DIY park in Bolivia. Enjoy the video and learn how to live on the cheap!

Skateboarding in Minneapolis: Red Bull Video
Minneapolis is the city you probably didn't know you needed to visit to if you're a skateboarder.
Throw a rock from one skate spot in downtown Minneapolis and you're likely to hit another — the grouping of skyscrapers and granite on the west bank of the Mississippi River is dense like that. The city center has been skated for some 25 years with some spots, like the Garage, staying relevant and skateable that whole time.
